Volition Open Mic Nights in the new semester will be held on Friday, September 18th and Thursday, October 22nd! Stay tuned for more information on other events, and our Fall 2015 submission deadline.

Our next Open Mic Night is on March 26th at 7 pm! Come to the JC Bistro to share your poetry or play some music, and to have some free pizza and soda. This time we’ll be collaborating with the Undergraduate English Society (UES) to promote the Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health and we will be accepting cash donations.

Get ready for our first Open Mic of the semester coming up next Friday, February 27th from 7 to 9 pm at the JC Bistro! There will be free pizza and refreshments and great musical and literary talent, so come to share your work or just to enjoy the free entertainment!

Welcome back, Patriots! We hope you had a wonderful winter break full of holiday cheer, friends, and family. As the new year begins, we’d like to say goodbye and good luck to the lovely ladies who graduated last semester: Yessy Sansargereltekh (Editor-in-Chief), Ryan Fleming (Art & Photography Editor), and Shumaila Ahmad (Graphic Design staff). Don’t forget to pick up a freshly printed copy of the Fall 2014 magazine in the Office of Student Media!

There’s only one more day (well, about a day and a half) until the deadline, so submit before midnight tomorrow!

Volition’s next Open Mic is at 7 pm on Thursday October 16th and will be at the Bistro (a new, bigger location on the bottom floor of the Johnson Center). We’ll have free pizza and drinks as usual!
